Brewed in small batches in the Bumthang valley, Red Panda has aromas of banana, clove, and lemon. Because production is small it is hard to find outside central Bhutan, which is part of its reputation.
The brewery is linked to Swiss honorary citizen Fritz Maurer, who brought cheese-making and brewing to Bumthang. Visitors can usually tour the brewery and taste Red Panda at the source.
